A Short History of Incawasi
Incawasi was registered as a non-profit organization in March of 2005. It was founded by a team of Peruvian and European volunteers after the breakdown of a previous organization, which offered a daily food service for children living in severe poverty.
Roger Diaz Guerra, Marco Leyva Paredes (Peru), Margaret Lysaght, Kieran Farrell (Ireland), and Susanne Grüner de Diaz (Germany), at the time volunteers of the former charity, started Incawasi with the attempt to continue catering to the needs of these very same children whilst improving the services that were provided. More children were therefore able to participate in the program, which included an improved food service and health program, sided by a solid educational program.
