Malnutrition has significant long-term effects on a child’s intellectual and physical development. With many of the children we work with suffering from malnutrition upon entering Incawasi, the nutrition component of our intervention is critical. Children attending Incawasi receive two warm meals a day, which may not otherwise be a guarantee.
The menus have been developed by a nutritionist who is aware of the nutritional needs of our beneficiaries. We provide meals that are balanced and that include meat, vegetables and fruit so that children can get the protein, calcium and vitamin intake they need.
Incawasi covers the costs of serving these meals through the generous support of donors who give through our nutrition sponsorship program. Learn how you can become a nutrition sponsor and offer daily meals to a child at Incawasi for an entire year here.
